Gavi in February

Timing changes everything in Gavi. February sits in the prime month, full circuit comfortable of the Kerala calendar, the kind of month that defines what you get from the trip more than any other variable, including the stay choice. We've architected Gavi missions in every month; here is exactly what February delivers and how we work it.

The clearest and most comfortable window runs from around September to February, after the heaviest monsoon, when the forest is lush, the air is cool, and the trails and roads are more reliable. Gavi lies in a high-rainfall belt of the Western Ghats, so the southwest monsoon from June to August brings very heavy rain, leeches, and difficult forest roads. Because access is permit-controlled and vehicle numbers are limited, we secure the necessary forest permissions and confirm current entry rules well in advance of any visit.

For February specifically: Houseboats, beaches, and tea estates all at their best. Book 60+ days ahead. The standard Gavi architecture (the regulated rainforest of the high ranges) is preserved; the day-pacing is rebuilt around this month's conditions.
