You're met at Port Blair (IXZ) and transferred to your harbour-side hotel. The afternoon is given to the Cellular Jail National Memorial, the colonial-era prison where India's freedom fighters were held, its radiating wings a sober, moving start.

As dusk falls you return for the sound-and-light show, which tells the jail's story against the illuminated walls. The pace is easy after your flight, with the evening free.

A short private boat takes you to Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep), the former British administrative capital now reclaimed by jungle and roaming deer, its ballroom and church ruins wrapped in banyan roots.

At North Bay you snorkel over shallow coral or try a glass-bottom boat. Back on shore, the Anthropological Museum gives honest context on the Andaman's indigenous tribes before an evening at leisure.
