Day by day itinerary
Day 1. Delhi, Planner Consultation & Briefing
On arrival in Delhi you sit down with your dedicated wedding planner to define the brief, guest numbers, budget band, aesthetic, ceremony sequence and must-have moments.
You preview the luxury vehicle fleet and guest-transfer options, and agree the shortlist of venues to scout across Agra and Jaipur over the coming days.
Day 2. Agra, Taj-View & Resort Venue Scouting
A morning transfer to Agra begins the venue tour with properties that offer that once-in-a-lifetime Taj Mahal backdrop, such as the Taj Khema viewpoint area.
You then assess large-format resort venues like the Jaypee Palace, walking the lawns, banquet halls and guest-capacity, and meeting the events team on-site.
Day 3. Sunrise Taj Backdrops & Drive to Jaipur
At sunrise you evaluate the light and vantage points for pre-wedding photoshoots around the Taj Mahal, the angles, timing and access that make or break the shots.
You then drive to Jaipur and view a palace-hotel venue such as Jai Mahal Palace, set in landscaped Mughal gardens, as an evening reception option.
Day 4. Jaipur, Flagship Palace Venue Meetings
A full day of Jaipur's marquee venues: the fresco-covered Samode Palace, the grand Rajput-Mughal architecture of the Fairmont, and the royal City Palace for a truly regal ceremony setting.
At each you meet the events and catering teams, review capacity, décor rules, permissions and available dates, and gather formal proposals.
Day 5. Jaipur, Fort Backdrops & Designer Preview
The morning scouts Nahargarh Fort and its ramparts above the city for dramatic sundowner and sangeet backdrops, testing the light and logistics of a hilltop event.
The afternoon adds a designer studio preview for bridal lehengas and trousseau, so wardrobe and venue aesthetics can be planned together.
Day 6. Delhi, Selection Report & Departure
On the drive back to Delhi your planner walks you through a written selection report, a shortlist with capacities, indicative costs, available dates and pros and cons for each venue.
You depart with everything you need to make a confident decision, and the option for us to carry the chosen venue straight into full planning.

Frequently asked
Can you actually book the venue, or only show it to us?
Both. The scout is designed to help you choose with confidence, but once you select a venue we can carry it straight into full wedding planning, negotiating rates, holding dates, coordinating décor, catering and guest logistics. Many couples use the trip precisely so the same team runs the wedding itself.
Are venue site visits and meetings pre-arranged?
Yes. We schedule the site visits and events-team meetings in advance so you're expected, shown the ceremony and reception spaces, and given real availability and indicative pricing. This is far more productive than turning up as a walk-in, and it's why a planned scout saves months later.
How far ahead of the wedding should we scout?
Ideally 9 to 18 months before your dates. India's best palace venues book out a year or more ahead for the October to March peak season, so scouting early protects both your preferred venue and your date. We can advise realistic date options for each shortlisted property.
Can we scout venues beyond Jaipur and Agra?
Absolutely. Udaipur's lake palaces, Jodhpur's forts and Delhi farmhouse venues are all popular wedding settings we can add. Tell us your vision, intimate lakeside, grand fort, or Taj-view, and we'll shape the scouting route around the venues that fit your guest count and budget.
What's in the final selection report?
A written shortlist of the venues visited, each with capacity, indicative cost, available dates, décor and permission notes, logistics, and honest pros and cons. It's built so you, and any family members who couldn't travel, can compare properly and decide, rather than relying on memory and phone photos.
Do you handle permissions, catering and vendors too?
Yes, once you appoint us for the wedding. We coordinate the licences and permissions each venue requires, in-house or external catering, décor, photography, entertainment and guest transfers. The scout focuses on the venue decision; full vendor management follows in the planning phase.
