The clearest and most reliable Himalayan views come in September to November after the monsoon, and again through winter, the whole reason many people choose Kausani. March to June is warm and pleasant with spring rhododendron and generally good, if occasionally hazy, views. Winter, December to February, is cold with the sharpest panoramas and the chance of snow. The monsoon (July to mid-September) is green and atmospheric but clouds usually curtain the peaks and mountain roads can slip, so we plan around the risk.
